To get results in XML output format, use one of the following parameters in the search request:

(recommended), or

When you use the

output format, the XML results include the line:

<!DOCTYPE GSP SYSTEM "google.dtd">

encoded to preserve the data integrity of cached results that are encoded in a different encoding

scheme than the requested results.
